KOIHA has been entrusted with the operation of the patient safety reporting and learning system by Ministry of Health and Welfare on the basis of the Patient Safety Act, which took effect on July 29, 2016.

The purpose of KOPS is to establish a patient safety system voluntarily by medical institutions and to support those institutions that can be used safely by the public through a national information collection and learning system for patient safety incidents.

KOIHA has made continuous efforts to prevent patient safety incidents and prevent recurrence through healthcare accreditation system. We also do our best to induce active patient safety activities and to create an international patient safety culture.

KOPS portal will keep on serving as a new patient safety platform by systematically collecting and analyzing patient safety incidents and also providing various information on patient safety.

Now, in healthcare institutions, patient safety should become a patient safety culture in which not only health and medical personnel but patients and carers participate and create all together.
